Kasey Taylor Wildlife Artist A bit of background Information ! ... I was born on the 20th of November 1981 in Christchurch New Zealand and raised from the age of 5 in Beautiful and Animal filled - Brisbane Queensland Australia. I have always been surrounded with animals throughout my life and have had a great collection of birds and reptiles from an early age. I was always the one coming home with a new pet, or catching something scarey and showing my parents, ( and freaking them out! ) From the age of 12 I had an aviary made for me for my birthday where I started collecting Finches quails , budgies and other small birds, and from then my fascination with birds began! I started working at a Pet Shop at 12yrs and would always bring home something after work to love and look after! :) I started to add to the aviary more birds such as Indian Ring necks, lovebirds, lorikeets, bourke parrots, rosellas and more! Who would have thought they would all get along so well considering they shouldn't ! But my babies did ! :) I've always caught Bearded Dragons, Blue Tongues,snakes and Skinks, and had a keen eye for spotting anything in the bushes! I also looked after sick and injured birds, where i would take in many baby birds, and raise til they could fly and look after themselves, this was a great time to learn how to take care of various birds, and it sure made life fun! I've volunteered at the Koala Hospital " Wildlife Warriors " which is funded by the Australia Zoo ( Steve Irwins zoo ! ) which i did for a few weeks before I left to go overseas for a year, I helped clean Koala and Animal Enclosures, feed the koalas A special paste, vitamins and helping change the leaf over and also feed and help clean other animal and bird enclosures, it was great hands on work and something i really loved being involved with. Even though the animals were wild , they all had different personalities and funny antics.Some were very accepting of human help and would let you get very close to them. I would often enjoy studying their behaviour and draw them in my sketch books.I would always be attracted to the parrots that would come in injured or sick, and bond and play with them if they let me, there was one very special Yellow Tail Black cockatoo who loves a scratch and interaction, boy are they big birds! :) Animals have always fascinated me and what better way to celebrate their beatiful existance, but to paint create and include them into my art! I have a great background in entering Art Shows, Art competitons, and have won many prizes,places and awards I have worked in a Traditional Animation Company for 2.5 years and offer this service also, i am a traditionalist and create my animations, frame by frame the old fashioned way!!. I have designed many logos and mascots for companies all over the world, and offer great rates for my unique and lovable characters designs, ask me for details. I am versitile with how I Create them and as you can see have many styles I do. I sketch & draw in many mediums, such as Pencil, pastel both dry and wet, charcoal, watercolours and anything I can get my hands on! I Paint in Oil on canvas, Acrylic on canvas and watercolour I create realistic paintings, realistic drawings and sketches, and also love creating my cartoon styles in both canvas and watercolour paintings. I offer great pet portraits in any of my styles in a range of sizes and prices. If interested - Contact me for details. I'm pretty Busy creating this month , working on many logos , comissions and pet portraits! I am very accomodating and work well with you to create your special painting ! Its a fun time to get your painting created, I email all sketches of your pet, get the approved by you, and show you step by step how your paintings created, its alot of fun and I love sharing the experience with you ! :) Sometimes I work from your photos but if you dont have them, i can also create your pet via a description of the animals personality etc. I've been near finishing some great paintings and will have them on here soon, many are realistic paintings so be sure to keep an eye out. I'll be listing some cute african wildlife paintings, Zebra and baby, Hippo and baby in water, and some single zebra faces.
